Oven Roasted Dry Rub Ribs

I have something to tell you.

I do not like ribs.

I know. What's wrong with me right?

One of my first jobs was in the local BBQ restaurant which of course carried them. I loved ribs back then. I loved BBQ as well. I had so much bbq that I was putting it on my salad, and even baked potato. Don't judge. Try it. It's pretty dang good.

I ate so much of the stuff I grew tired of it. And now, I do not like ribs.

Which is why I have to give you the recipe for these ribs.
I'm thankful for a friend from back in high school to have graciously given me a method to cooking them, so I have to give major props to him. They would be shoe leather without it.

Do people still say 'props'?

I do. And you like that about me right?

Right.

Ingredients:

full rack ribs (I cut mine in half, or in serving size)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup paprika
1 tbsp pepper
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp garlic
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Method To The Madness:

1. Combine all ingredients (minus ribs of course). Rub evenly on all sides of the ribs.
2. Wrap tightly in foil. I usually do a few layers of tightly wrapped foil.
3. Marinate overnight, or fix right away. I always marinate, but I won't judge your level of hungry.
4. Place in preheated (225 degrees) oven for about 5 hours, or until the meat falls off the bone.
5. Eat as is, or top with your favorite sauce.
6. Yes. It's that easy!
